Whirlpool Generation2000+ G2P DWS – Dead

Hi all

Hope you can help.

My Whirlpool Generation 2000+ G2P DWS 3 years old has just stopped working with no signs of life 🙁

No lights on the front control panel. No signs of life from anywhere !

I’ve checked the fuse in the plug this is Ok also tried another power suplly still no signs of life. Also made sure the door is closed.

Any idea of what to look for if I take it apart?

It could be any number of things to be honest with a completely dead appliance.

I would recommend an engineer for this particular applinace if you’re unsure how to test components effectively, try the repairs@ link below 🙂

Thanks for the advice, I’ll follow this up if I get no other suggestions from this site.

I’ve seen some posts with problems like this that suggest there may a temperature based fusable link within the machine, could this be a starting point for my investigations with my machine. This sounds to me a likely cause of the problem.

There is no temperature based fuse in this appliance I’m afraid, the information I think you refer to is the NTC device which monitors the water temperature but that wouldn’t make the dishwasher go “dead”.
