Whirlpool / IKEA DWF 416 – Funny Noise

My Whirlpool / IKEA DWF 416 makes a strange noise – almost like there’s a load of junk swilling round the bottom of the machine – it appears to happen when the machine is draining off the water – at the beginning, end, and odd places in the middle of the cycle – I’m wondering if the noise could be air trapped in a hose somewhere, or whether there really is something rattling around.

Drain pump wearing out is a good bet, have a read of this:

Or, something actually in the drain pump, rattling about.

Stay safe if you’re going to investigate this yourself – power off.
