Our intergrated Whirlpool/Ikea DWF B10 dishwasher has developed a fault.

Part way through it’s cycle (but not always at the same point) it seems to get stuck, with the wash cycle stopping and starting in short bursts. It then reverts back to the rinse cycle, at the end of which it will make a constant beeping sound with the ‘start’ button light flashing 8 times in a sequence.

This happens most times we use it however confusingly it sometimes works perfectly through it’s cycle with no issues!!

    Any help would be appreciated!!??

From your description of start and stopping, I guess it could be the main circulation motor making a stuttering sound.
Some of these models had a askol style pump fitted which can stick during the wash.

    Unplug before removing panels.

Similar style to above information but may have black plastic casing fitted.

8 flashes indicates water level failure .
first and easiest thing to check is the filters – pay particular attention to the fine mesh tubular filter , and even if it looks clean, scrub with plenty of hot water .
in the sump where the filters cover, look for a black plastic grid in the right hand side ; an old toothbrush and plenty more hot water scrubbed on here and it may well give you a new lease of life 😆
