Hi all – my Whirlpool/Ikea FCSM6 keeps tripping the circuit switch after about 10 mins of being on. I’ve been told this is down to a faulty element – is this the case?

Also, my model number seems to be completely at odds with Whirlpool model numbers – on the sticker inside the door it just says Mod: 700 666 10. It also mentions Type: FCSM6 and OBI M10/AN. Do I have a rogue oven?

Thanks in advance – it’s driving me crazy!

The relevant number that we need is the 12 number long ( in 3 sections ) beginning with 85….
that will help identify your unit… how old is it ? if it was purchased after i think it was august 2007 , it will have a 5 year parts and labour warranty included

Hiya – the number in the actual oven is 8579 1601 5001. Although the service sticker number that is stuck on the back of the guarantee booklet is 8579 617 15010.

The machine is just over 5 years old – actually 5 years and 4 days! Typical, eh!

    Do these numbers help?

Does nobody have any advice here? Do I have a rogue cooker or something?
