ParticipantWhirlpool washer (AWO/D4505) and all it will do is pump….select any programme and the first thing it does is the door locks and then just pumps…forever! 🙁
Any thoughts over and above what I’ve checked already? 🙂
(Machine’s just 14 months old and very lightly used by the way)

Have you checked for a short circuit water valve solenoid? (My favourite rare fault.)

Mike.Everything but that Mike, there’s continuity to each coil mind you, though as it’s one of those tiny connectors with just 3 tags to a double valve I’m unsure at this point what the resistance should be on them anyway? 😕

No earth leaks, the pump is fine. The machines only done a few washes in it’s entire life.
What I forgot to add was that you can press the ‘Reset’ button on the fascia ’til you’re blue in the face and it wont reset. 😕

Take it you mean continuity through each coil. So you checked them with a blue plastic screwdriver with a red led in it? Try again with a meter – they should certainly be 1k ohm plus each and most probably 3.5k. If not I’m on a winner.

I told customer that my diagnosis was the module, the replacement cost of which is prohibitive, so machine scrapped! :rolls:
