ParticipantHi there
We have a Whirlpool LPR273 Combi Fridge Freezer that is almost 6 years old. Unfortunately the fridge doesn’t seem to be chilling at all well even on max setting. The freezer works fine.
Are there any common issues with this model or things to check?
Cheers for any infoMike

Simple set up,the fridge will be struggling either because of a lack of refrigerant or poor compressor performance.
Engineer or new fridge req’d 🙁September 8, 2009 at 3:22 pm #296576Mike I

Don’t know if this is a side-by-side item, but if it is, the fridge is cooled by air blown in from the freezer. This is the job of the evaporator fan, usually located half way up the back of the freezer behind a panel. This could be bust or you might find a huge chink of ice behind this panel blocking the air flow. There is also a thingy (technical term) at the top left of the fridge which seems to be an electrically operated louver used to control the cold air entering the fridge. I don’t know what it’s called but mine is broke so I jammed it open and at least the fridge now works (it’s summer; I probably can’t leave it like that for the winter.) My problem is, is this gate broken, is the temperature sensor broken, or is the fault in the control board that controls everything? Does anyone have any ideas?
