Good afternoon – I have a Whirlpool AquaLine AWM 1860 that has stopped dispensing the conditioner from the tray. I have removed the tray and cleaned it all and the space in the machine where it came from but the problem still exists.

    Could you please advise

    Many thanks

    Allan

    Re: Whirlpool not dispensing conditioner

    hi

does the machine stop in the middle of the program when it should be filling (indicating a valve fault) usually when on a rinse rather than the first fill

or you can test both cold inlet valves by trying a prewash (fills in prewash compartment) then a main wash (fills in main wash compartment)

if both valves are working then it sounds like a blockage, as these machines dont have a seperate valve for conditoner it relys on opening both valves at the same time to take conditoner

remove the drawer from its compartment and look inside the compartment at the top, you will see loads of holes these need to be really clean where the water for the conditioner comes from(an old toothbrush works best)

then look at the drawer, remove the syphon (white plastic tube like thing that just pops off) and make sure the hole where the water runs out of the conditoner compartment is clean, also make sure the syphon itself is clean inside, when you have cleaned the drawer test it buy filling the conditoner compartment with water from the tap until it starts to run away on its own

    this should cure the problem

Many thanks the machine was working through the whole cycle so I have cleaned as advised with an old tooth brush and it now seems to be OK.

    Cheers
