customer has this oven which since a power-cut will not function.from switching on the display flashes as normal and you can set the time. however when selecting an oven function the display shows three dashes and the letter c. there is an indicator pointing down to the temp symbol but the oven will not respond to any pressing of any buttons.
the element has been checked for continuity and insulation tested.
the oven was not responsible for the power off although customer has admitted pressing random combinations of buttons.
is there any way to perhaps reset this thing and clear any fault code stored.thanks

i thought the same. it has. but from what i remember reading i think it actually locks the door. but now you mention it i’ll see if i can download a manual as the customer didn’t have one.

I have not dealt with one of these but reading the user manual it says that it should show “LOC” for the child lock, what I also got the impression was that you set the oven temp on the display so I am wondering if it needs a temperature setting or if it is moaning about the temperature senser.

if definately is only showing three dashes and letter c
it will not respond at all to any attempt to set a temperature.
my gut feeling is still that it is locked out in some way and needs to be reset.Re: whirlpool oven akp203/ix not working since power cut.
Did this get resolved as I have one with the same problem and customer also has no manual for me to browse.
