Whirlpool oven – AKP262/ix – timer acting weird

The customer says that the oven timer seems to have a mind of its own, turn on power and the display comes on. Set the clock, turned on the oven and it seems to work. every now and then the oven beeps, the clock display went funny, the hour digit was flashing as it if needed setting in the time. Then it set itself and the oven powered up then went out along with the beep. Been doing this on and off.

Is it the timer that is malfunctioning or the pcb module?

Hi Matt,
I did not changed none of these display modules but only power PCB (Ampere) a lot.
You have to look also for contacts/plug on temperature limiter from power supply line on back or top of appliance.
Perhaps also some kitchen bugs or moisture on display?

This one was just a clock display unit. I will bear this in mind. Thanks for the head up.
