whirlpool oven auto turning off – please help

Hello!

I have a Whirlpool built-in oven, model AKZ 801.

During long slow cooking at low temperatures (125 deg Celsius) after around 4.5 hours I noticed the oven turns off on its own, and the display flashes “OFF” repeatedly. This is really annoying how can I stop this? To get out of this off mode, seems like I need to long press the buttons to get out of it. I haven’t had this problem before, seems to be a recent phenomenon.

that could be hard to find because if it only happens once an hour or so you have no chance to nail down the fault. and if you thought you have found it you wont know for 2 hours if your right

if its plugged into a socket try another one jusr in case

it’s built in so I can’t access the socket.

its only a single oven so remove the screws and it will slide out
If it is into a socket then you may find it in one of the cupboards next to it

it could also be wired direct to a cooker point and this is unlikely (unless its poorly installed) to cause a problem

I don’t think it’s a fault as the manual you linked to says it turns off after 4.5hrs as a safety feature. It also says this is except for the special functions that are also detailed. 🙂
