Hi all. I have a Whirlpool Generation 2000, model number BS0800WH01. At present it is only partially heating up. I selected the bottom element on the selection switch and the fan comes on but absolutely no heat is generated. So it appears there is only heat coming from the top.

    Can anybody possibly help?

    Thanks
    Wes

Bottom element failure? You’ll need to isolate the power and take a look. Or contact your local repair company.

    Hi
For info, I recently tried to replace the bottom element (not a fan element) in the top oven of a Whirlpool double oven. The element was a very tight fit in its compartment, had distorted, broke up when pulled and could not be completely removed. Before ordering a replacement, I recommend making sure that the ‘old’ element can be completely removed. If it can be successfully removed, the fixing bracket will have the part number that can be used when ordering a replacement. Hope this helps.
