Can you help me please? 😕
My 4 year old fridge freezer is a side by side Whirlpool
    S20ERSS33-A+ /H. 8586 190 15001.
Last week the “sence” symbol illuminated and the normal “18” degrees disappeared with a flashing “-“. The freezer dropped to -5 & the fridge upto +17.
I removed the inside cover of the freezer and found the bottom section of the fins iced up. I defrosted and everything appears to be running normal again.
This evening the “sence” symbol came on again for a short time and went off again.
Should the freezer not have defrosted automatically, what are the possible problems and solutions?
I read that many similar problems require a new PCB, I already had a new PCB within the first year (can’t remember what for). Could it be a whole PCB, or just a PCB repair kit (capacitors)?
I appreciate any help you can give.
    Thank you

    Re: Whirlpool PCB or NOT

Hello read my post Starting S20RBBB, athough not the same model, I changed all the capactors and this fixed everything, then fixed the diffuser unit and now all is ok, if your freezers working ok then why not have a go, may save you pounds, everything you need to know is in the big post on this page but its 47 pages and takes forever to read through but I bet you answers are there.
how my model works is at the back of the freezer unit is a cover and behind this is a small fan which blows air from the freezer bit into the top of the fridge by ducting and a diffuser unit in the top of the fridge, if this diffuser unit is not fully open then the cold air cant get through and the fridge stays warm, so may be worth a look, good luck Leonips

The auto defrost is not working.
What should I test to identify the fault?
    Any ideas
    Thank Stephen
