Hi, my Whirlpool S20DFSS10-A/G aka 858616115000 American Fridge/Freezer (no ice maker or drinks dispenser) has had a couple of issues since we bought it from a seller on eBay, it was working fine other than the front control panel (in the ‘roof’ of the fridge compartment). the seller said that it didn’t affect the fridges operation.
Anyway, got it home & it wouldn’t kick into life for 8 days. After trying to dry it out and let it rest I fired it up today & bingo! working!! BUT!!!!………….
The control panel on the ‘roof’ of the fridge is clicking & flashing. I have had many hours of joy trawling the internet to try to self diagnose the issue.
Leads me to 2 conclusions..
1, the rear PCB control unit is on the blink
2, the front ‘roof’ control unit is on the blink
I have read somewhere that the ‘roof’ control unit will blink rapidly & click if the rear PCB is dodgy.
It seems the fridge is 5-6 years old.
I found on the web…….
https://supreme1.sslpowered.com/cgi-bin … item=00040
and…. http://www.unifit.co.uk/powersearch.php … search=yes
The second site shows 2 PCBs for my fridge, both look identical & both show my fridges reference numbers, however the have different part numbers?!
481221778214 @ £131.54
and 481221778193 @ £62.61
Both say ‘This part replaces part number 481221778172’
Do I need the rear PCB or the ‘roof’ pcb or both? And…from the second web sites listings which one is correct for my fridge?
Really hope someone can finally guide me toward a solution because my local fridge engineer is as much use with my fridge as I am with juggling chainsaws!!!
