Hello, apologies if this has been answered but I have trawled the posts for the last hour and cannot find the answer I need.
The core problem is that my defrost circuit is not working. This causes the fridge temperature to slowly rise (it uses the fan in the freezer to send cold air to the fridge side)until they temp alarms and shows –:–, leave it long enough and the freezer side trips also.
Temp Fix: I take the back panel off inside the freezer section, spend an hour or so with a hairdryer defrosting the coils, reassemble and works for another three weeks until the ice builds up again.
I have just replaced the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat and unfortunately this did not fix the problem and is now iced up again.
Can anyone tell me what other bits can break that may be causing the defrost not to work? I already replaced the rear pcb about 3 years ago as I had a problem with the water dispenser and ice machine. It is possible that this has again gone faulty. I have no idea if this or another pcb controls the defrost circuit. Help please, I just want to buy the bit asap and fix.
