Got a problem with this American fridge/freezer if someone can help.
The problem started when the display on the freezer went to — and the alarm sounded, the freezer then stopped cooling. After replacing the rear module and freezer ntc, the freezer is cooling intermitantly and the fault re-occurs once the sense light goes out.

    Model 8586 159 15000
    Serial 110435 003411

    Purchased 2005

I have read about maybe both the front and rear module might need replacing but cannot find a deffinate answer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve spent long enough going through the public forum listing and still cannot see an answer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like its either a faulty pcb or maybe the de-frost heater itself? Also worth checking for dust build up behind the grilll at the bottom.

What you have read about changing both boards is probably not going to apply here as the serial no. you have given means it was made after week 30 of 2004 and its only the models before this date that had a software conflict.
If its freezing and then stops I would personaly check the defrost heater and connections to the defrost heater which somtimes expand.
    Hope this helps.
