    Hi all

So sorry but I cannot find the model number of my aged dishwasher. It was inherited with the house and I would guess it must be about 10 yrs old or more!

Semi integrated and made by whirlpool ( brown top bit)

Opened it this morning and something in the door snapped and now the door is floppy and wont shut at all.

Can anyone help with this problem? Again I apologies for not being of much use with model numbers. I have looked everywhere for it!

Re: Whirlpool semi integrated. Door problem.

Unfortunately without the model number and 12-digit Pnc number you may struggle to get the correct bits. It will probably need DOOR BLOCKS but may need springs and/or STRAPS as well. The springs are the bit most likely to be made for your specific model.

The model details would have been on a label down the edge of the door so maybe if you can open the machine up, identify which bits are actually broken and perhaps even post a pic or two we might be able to help further.

    HTH?

Thanks for that. I have looked everywhere and cannot find the model number. As it was inherited with the house I cant find any information.

However, my OH managed to work out why the door would not close -there was a broken spring lodged at the bottom of the door. Having removed that at least the door now shuts and the machine works! Now though, the door just drops with no support.

This machine is on its last legs i think…..the drain hole never completely empties of water so i assume there is something further wrong with it but maybe i will let it limp along for a little longer.

    Thanks again
