    Hi,

I have a Whirlpool integrated washer dryer that is making a hell of a racket, and would like to get a good engineer to have a look at it (rather than the cost / aggro of a new machine).

As it is integrated I do not want the kitchen ripped apart etc!.

Can anyone post any recommendations, or is the best bet the Whirlpool service line (currently engaged!).

You are just out of my normal area, but could do a special for you if you want. Although, your description of the fault does not sound hopefull.
If you post the Model number, I can quote you a worse case senario price as it may be the drum bearings gone.
    Call me if you want.

If anyone else here wants to pick this up you are quite welcome!

It is just marked as Whirlpool Washer Dryer 1000 (as I mention is integrated and is c. 10 years old). If it is bearings as sounds quite plausible is it worthwhile repairing or is replacemnet a better bet (if so recommendations sought!!).

It is actually in a flat that I look after for my brother while he is abroad – as I see from your number you are from up my way – Hertford rather than London, so I would not really want to have to drag you all the way down the M11.

If its 10 years old, then its not worth a bearing change on this w/dryer IMO.
However it will cost £500 to £650 to replace with a decent model. Perhaps someone closer to you could supply and fix at a better price than a shed.
