Whirlpool Side by Side Fridge Freezer

My Whirlpool Side by Side Fridge Freezer is running but the freezer temp. is approx. 4 degrees and the fridge temp. is approx. 10 degrees. There is also a build up of ice in the lower part of the freezer at the back. The condenser, starter relay, condenser fan and evaporator fan all seem to be working fine, except the condenser runs continuously. I am currently defrosting the freezer to remove the ice from the coils at the back of the freezer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fridge Freezer was working fine up to a couple of days ago but is now loosing temperature again. On inspection, I found the coil in the back of the freezer compartment is freezing up again. Two weeks ago, I checked the defrost element with a multimeter and it appears to be ok. I didn’t check the defrost element thermostat because I didn’t know how!? What are your thoughts, please?

heater fuse assemble has 4 wires going to it

heater goes into it with an orange and a blue wire

the other side of the stat is brown and white

you should get continuity from orange to white and also blue to brown

if either fails the stat is faulty
