Hello all need some advice,,,just changed the water filter cartridge but can’t reset the red light have used filter reset button but to no avail please advice
If pressing the reset button doesn’t resolve the issue, try power cycling your Whirlpool refrigerator. Turn off the refrigerator by unplugging it from the mains, or by switching off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance. Leave it powered off for a few minutes, then plug it back in (…or switch the circuit breaker back on). Power cycling can sometimes reset the appliance and resolve minor glitches….including the water filter light issue.
Glad you got it working again. I did mean to say after powering off & waiting a few mins before powering back on again, if that didn’t work then do try pressing reset button again for say 10 seconds. But as expected it seems just power cycling the appliance cleared the fault. Lol – that old chestnut eh with computers & appliances… switch it off, wait a minute or so then switch on again & hey presto!
