    Hi.

Our oven won’t get up to the correct temperature, i’ve read the posts before and im reasonably sure its the heater element. The thermostat seems to work as i heated up the oven with the grill and when i then then turned the oven and scrolled through the temperatures the temperature arrows on the front panel differed as i went up.

I’ve got the oven out, and i figure a simple resistance test with a multimeter will tell me if the element is fully broken, but not if its partially broken…..

Is there a resistance a healthy heater element would measure?

    Cheers.

*edited – found out how the element comes out*

Around 25 ohms is about right. They work or they dont, BTW – no half measures.

    Replacement elements are HERE.

Just took it out and found it burnt through in one place. Didn’t bother testing it.

Many thanks for your help. Placed order for new part already.

Will recommend your website to others.

    😀
