Dont do many of these but have this one making a scrapping noise.

Whirpool toploader, initially not spinning properly found the plastic ring shoes worn out (WPL481203948001) changed them, now washes and spins but there is a noise

Motor gearbox drive ok but noisy when starting to spin, like plastic scrapping noise as it builds up then speed

Removed all the agitator bits to elimate that.

Removed gear box and turn by hand there is a noise from the gearbox.

Havent stripped down gearbox but can you get gears seperatly are they plastic or metal inside? or are we looking at complete gearbox or could it be more the brake drive shaft?

This machine is less than 1 year old, used non stop in hairdressers it gets hammered, would whirlpool still honour guarantee?

    Cheers

When you say you have been selling with D & C warranties dont they come with a Year as standard regardless?

After all they are a heavy duty laundry product should be able to cope with this use 😆
