Whirlpool T/L service light on?

A very rare beast, in fact the first one I have ever encountered.
Customer said it would abort after a few seconds with the ‘service’ light flashing. Apparently something similar happed about 18 months ago but cleared after machine had been switched off for a while, says she couldn’t get it to work at all this time.

As is often the case if you have ‘magic healing hands’ 🙂 , when I tried it everything appeared to work perfectly. Filled, wash action, drain, spin all perfect. Checked pump filter just in case but it was clear.

Anyone come across one of these or encountered this problem?

Seen a few of these tbh they are quite a straight forward machine with no real problems. You can get a leak through thelid seal which can throw up a random f23 but when you switch it back on it will clear itself

Thanks for reply, forum member criscold has kindly sent me the manual so if I get a recall I am better prepared, no digital display on this one so until I got the manual I had no idea of error codes.
