Whirlpool td dead

Hi I have a dead whirlpool 3rleq8600wwo which is one of the large American style tumble dryers. When checking it I found the belt had snapped. The machine is getting power, the door switch is fine and the control that you press to start is working fine. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

machine will not run when the belt is not on there is a safety switch

there is a microswitch on the belt tension pulley
