I have a Whirlpool top loader, model 3RLSQ8000HQO. It is not spinning fast enough. When i open the lid i can stop the inner drum with my hand whilst it is on spin. Is this a motor problem? If so where can I purchase new motor and for how much?

It’s highly unlikely the motor has failed on one of these, when they do fail you would normally get no rotation at all.

Normal problems are, damaged drive shaft and/or drum, gearbox or clutch problems.

Engineer time to be honest as these have a pretty complex drive system, check repairs@ and the directories for one near you 😀

    Dave.
