whirlpool top loader

Hi, quite a new whirlpool top loader 3LWTW4705FW1 it has a seperate start button a small round push button.
it is very intermittent to get it to start if you press it or hold it it takes dozens of attempts to get it to start.
anyone came across this before

assume you have checked the start switch

its got a lid lock like the door locks on front loaders check that

Thanks i was between the start switch or door lock, whirlpool had been out a coupke of weeks ago and of course it worked.
Nothing worse than an intermittent fault.

that sounds like an iffy door lock

dont know if the lock only locks on spin or all the time. you would need to ask client if they can open the lid to add stuff after it starts
