got to have a look at this one.powers up but thats it.will check lid switch gearbox etc.can anyone tell me best way to test inline sensor(481228268033).paul
cant tell from sensor what it does ( not seen one of these)
if its temp will be a standard ntc if its water inlet ot must have a revolving fan to count water in
check to see if they are still fitting the 6.3A fuse in the control panel if so go for that first
if its dead should not be gearbox or motor
lid switch looks like the common one that is glued together and the glue fails. I usually put it back together add cable tie and job sorted
thanks for that dave.was at this one today.fuse was good and put a jumper in lid switch once cabinet off.capacitor was in bits so changed that.checked pump and that was clear.rubber joiner between motor and gearbox ok. tested machine with cabinet off and every thing was good.put cabinet back on connected lid sw and tried again and no motor action and smoke(coincidence).shaft very hard to turn so suspect corrosion between spin tube and drive shaft.customer not willing to spend money on it so left it at that.machine used solely for horse rugs and has had a hard life i would say
one way you are driving through the spin clutch and will feel very hard
the other way should get very easy to turn as you are in wash mode and the girator action
you could have a box problem or a motor bearing problem ?
these machine are very easy to strip you can get the gearbox out in under 15 mins
you will find out on the next one
