whirlpool top loader spin fault.

Had this job around a month ago. reported fault, no spin or intermittent.
last time i brought it into the workshop and striped out the whole drum, shaft and gear box and could not find any fault. put it back together and it has worked for three weeks.now its the same fault. got to the house, tested on spin, worked but not full speed. then tryed rinse and spin and it worked fine.
Now i am stuck and i am wondering if anyone else has managed to cure this problem before.

modle number might help…is it a USA style top loader or a skinny Italien style?
