    Re: Whirlpool tumble dryer fuse

I think that’s a big commercial job? If so, is it a thermal fuse? If so, it may say on the panel just above where it’s situated to also change one of the stats when it goes (the one next to it, IIRC.) I didn’t see that instruction label until I’d been to a machine about three times.
Still, just as likely to be an airflow problem. People are inclined to neglect the need for a big fat aluminium vent hose with a short run to an unobstructed outlet.

Is this the fuse in the loom at the top.
Was advised years ago by an ex Whirlpool engineer, that there is (if I remember) a 6A fuse which regularily goes, was told to up the rating slightly.
Have only done this once when a similar fault happened and it has worked merrily for years. Meggered all the usual suspects at the time and all tested perfectly.

I think that’s only in the washers.

Thanks for your help, it is a 6.3 time delay in the loom at the top will try as you suggest. It all meggers ok and runs for months at a time with no problems.

Any ideas what causes it? Unbalanced loads maybe?
