Whirlpool Tumble Dryer not heating – HELP!!!

Hi there,
I have a Whirlpool 6th Sense Model no awz 3413 (857534115031) tumble dryer. Yesterday it stopped heating, or did, then didn’t, now doesn’t at all!
I have removed the back (power off of course 8) ) and checked all connections, but when I checked the heating element, noted it was actually quite warm after my test tumble dry several minutes before!

I have cleared the door/filter and also checked the hose, all clear. Why wouldn’t the heat be getting through to the drum? I am probably doing something stupid, but am stumped, and can’t afford a callout just yet.

You can check the heating element for continuity and the only other thing that’s liable to cause issues are the thermostats but, on that tumble dryer, they’re attached to the heater and not available separately sadly.

had a similar fault on my Whirlpool, turns out it was the thermal limiter had blown. On my machine it was located under the fluff filter on the front of the machine.
i removed the lwer plastic grate and on the right hadn side were 2 brown wires, i grabbed the clip and just pulled the thermal limiter out. I put a meter across it and it read 16k ohms, should read zero or nearly zero.
The part was out of stock with the manufacturer, so iasked them to confirm the part code and then did a google search, found the part on amazon for half the price.
