We were called out to a Whirlpool washer AWZ 410-3 (S/N 990 409 014 970) that does all functions except spin. Drum turns on agitation, fills/empies OK etc. . Call up a spin and it sits there silent as night, but the timer is still running.

It has that large Elmarc module (3 12-way edge connectors). Old style timer.

So the next decision is which do we order – module or timer? If anyone has experience of this fault, I’d appreciate some advice.

Also, a cheap source of supply for this module. I think I had to get one for a Servis and it cost a small fortune.

    Regards to all

Relay or Resistor fault on Module as a rule (usually Relay though) 😉

Get an exchange unit from EMW for a fraction of the price of a new one 💡

Did have a dry joint on the pcb where the relay is located. resoldered and it worked fine.

No visible dry joints or damage on the pcb (module). Ordered a new one from my supplier. It arrived. Dead.

Got a recon one from EMW – at least I knew that it had been tested before posting! Machine now working fine and I saved some money. Thanks EMW.

    Hi

Check the wires on the pressostat. I think there should be two double wires and one single…..common fault for one of the doublers to have worn loose and you will not be able to see it in its clear protector….causes spin probs…..
