    Good afternoon.
Our elderly Whirlpool top loading washing machine AWE 6515 stopped completely somewhere between the wash cycle and the second spin.

No noises, smells or indicator lights. No domestic circuit breakers tripped. I have read that this is a common fault with many washing machines and that I should look for a reset button or an internal fuse. There does not appear to be an external reset button.

Can some kind soul please tell me where to find whichever of these is applicable ? Electric supply does reach the machine but that is as far as I have ventured. There is no external damage, burnt plastic, etc., visible on the main circuit board box although I haven’t yet opened it.

I am quite prepared to delve deeper if someone can tell me where to insert my No,2 crowbar !

    Thank you.

and i cant see a fuse listed on that model

you need to check power into the machine and up to the board first

    Thank you Dave.

That was the first thing I checked along with the domestic circuit breakers.

in that case it sounds like a board problem

there will be a power supply on the board to change the mains to 12v or so for the chips. the fact its dead makes that a likely problem
