Hi Thanks,
I am having a problem with the temperatures and I wanted to verify the connections. A guy changed the var stat a while ago and i thinkk the leads may have been changed.

is the machine
a: overheating
b:not heating at all
c:getting to about half the required heat and no furtherAugust 25, 2006 at 8:15 am #186384daddybear

Hi DDSDDS,
It does not heat on some programs and it seems to have lost control on other programs. It does heat, I think if I could verify that all the connections are true I could figure it out. Thanks for all the help.

i think it unlikely that it is wired incorrectly most stats are only a few wires,
the variable one normally 3.
it is more likely a faulty stat or some other fault which programs does it heat on?
the hot ones or the cool ones. and what do you mean by lost control the more specific you are the more help we can be. 😀
does it seem to heat indefinatly getting hotter and hotter or does it seem to stick at the same temp?August 25, 2006 at 12:27 pm #186386daddybear
ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Washing machine AWG 280
Thanks DDSDDs,
It seems that its not heating on the cool wash. As i said the variable stat was replaced recently and it has been like this since as far as i understand. Really appreciate the help.

i’m sorry i dont have a wiring diagram and i dont think you will find one online either we just dont get them.
on a 90 wash does it get to 90 degrees or about 60 before moving on.
i really dont know now with the fault you are describing i think the best course of action maybe to get the engineer back
it could be wired wrongly incorrect part altogether timer error without being in front of the machine i really cant help any more
sorry 😥
although someone else may have an ideaAugust 25, 2006 at 1:34 pm #186388daddybear

Hi DDSDDS,
Thanks a million for all the comments. I wonder could I bother you a liitle more. It is not heating on the cooler washes and it is not heating on 1 and 2 it is heating on 3 and 4. As i said the Var Stat was replaced recently and I associated the problems with this whereas I am now thinking that it may be another fault. Would you have any idea?
As I said really appreciated

😆 Hi DDSDDS
Just to thank you for all the help. Your comments made me look at the problem from a different point of view and Wallah a dis connection on the main stat, so all is well again….thanks a million. A drawing for those things would be very helpful dont you think. I owe you one DDSDDS.
