ParticipantHi, intermittent fault with this machine.
after the program is set. the machine will start, drain then either carry on or will stop and the red door locked light will flash. after a few mins it will perhaps start again for a few secs then do the same again. No fault code is coming up on the display either. Anyone familiar with these machines?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Ashby
Sounds like the brushes on the motor. When you select a cycle it locks the door then pumps then waits for the motor to turn if it doesn’t turn the door lock light flashes. Quite a common error.
Hopes this points you in the right directionSparkyp

Hi SparkyP,
Changed the brushes on this motor today and it spun fine.
30 mins later the customer phoned to say they had put a load in and the same thing happened again.
the door light started flashing again.
Any ideas?
Many Thanks.

Hi Ashby
Sounds like the loom from motor to timer then (M7 lead it is called) ….when its under load.. i have had a few do this. Wot were the brushes like were they worn down? If they looked ok and a good length then its the loom.

Hi SparkyP,
Yes, the brushes were well worn down. I will check the loom.
Many thanks for your help.
Much Appreciated.

Got same fault as described here,
Changed brushes as advised, machine worked ok for a fortnight, now back to flashing door light.
Have had brushes back off to check, all ok.
Did you find a fault in the loom? Have you cured fault?

Sure it’s not a faulty door lock? I’m nearly sure i called to one with the same problem but the fault wasn’t intermittent the light kept flashing. Replaced lock and all was fine.

Eliminated interlock by running machine on 2′ drain cycle. It will do that no problem.
Door lock light comes on within 30 secs on any other programme.

It will do the drain cycle with the door open.
