ParticipantI’ve a fault with my Whirlpool WIE 2B19 UK. ECO, 65deg and 55deg lights on and 50deg flashing, any ideas? I can’t seem to find a list of fault codes for the machine anywhere on line. The power button will not let me switch it on or off now, the program button next to it seems to turn it on and off now, odd?

Moderatorwhen a fault occurs on these you have to switch off at the socket to reset
try this and see what happens when you try to use it again

ParticipantThanks Dave, had already tried that, went straight back into fault condition as soon as I powered it back on

Moderatorproblem is with this machine is the fault codes listed done make sense because of the lights done match with the listing
first thing to try is look for flooded base. most dishwashers have a float in the motor area that triggers a fault if water gets in there
you need to access the base and see if there is water down there

ParticipantThanks Dave, not flooded, it will actually run the Eco cycle, won’t let me change to other cycles

ParticipantBone dry, no signs of any water damage. The module with the on/off button and program button must be fried. Power button not turning machine on and off. Program button turning machine on and off instead! But not allow me switch programs

Moderatordoes sound like that board is toast but the only way of finding out if your right is to swop it

ParticipantHi Dave,
New part arrived and installed today and issue sorted. When removed is could see minor corrosion on board where power and program buttons join to board, looks like the buttons where shorting each other. Thanks for all the help.
