ParticipantDear All
I have a Whirlpool ADG957 dishwasher ( built in ) which has been running OK for a couple of years . Unfortunately over the weekend it decided enough was enough and is now constantly bleeping (no gaps) when the door is closed and no washing action. Opening it stops the bleep and reveals the start light constantly flashing, the rinse light on ( which we never use ). I have tried the override of holding down the start button which I used once when it got its knickers in a twist with a power cut but no joy . Any advice? things to look for ? parts to buy ?
Thanks for any help offeredMarch 12, 2007 at 12:16 pm #207530gegsy

Hi
More than likely the NTC sensor has gone faulty p/no 481228268035 which is HERE.
Power off if you are to investigate :plug:Greg

Im impressed , that was quick,
Couple of questions, well three,
Where would I find the NTC in the dishwasher is it accessible or do I need to dismantle ( and I will switch it off first)?
Can I test its use before I buy/order a new one?
Where could I get the part you suggest , should I use the spares service?Cheers

Its below the filters in sump but you will need to access the underneath of tank aswell (NTC is twist fit)

You can but I would just change it after you have checked its circuit back to module first. Rare occasions it can be a faulty module but NTC is a known suspect.

Yes use the spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk quoting that part number I gave.

Hi Greg
I’ve followed your advice to disturbed so far, as I have the same problem with the same machine, but with no success. I’ve replaced the NTC and the control module (thanks for the clear instructions on how to do this!).The machine is still faulty however. Is it possible that there is another part at fault? I’m no engineer, but it seems as though it is failing to fill with water at the beginning of the cycle (I tried starting it and then running all the taps, to detect a change in noise level/fill rate, but it stayed the same, and it is pretty noisy). Water can “get” to the machine (supply is fine), but I’m at a loss as to what to try next.
Any help gratefully received!
Cheers, Simon.

I think you need to have a look at what the start lamp is actually doing….. The constant flashing is F01 – there are 12 others! The lamp may go 1-2-3-4-pause-repeat, for instance – F04.

It is constant flashing – the machine starts, and either stops within 10 mins or continues to the (almost) end of the cycle. The start light has continuous flashing, and the selector light is on “rinse”. So, F01, whatever that is!! Would appreciate your thoughts.

Sorry Greg – have no idea why that message posted twice! I will try the pressure switch route next – can anyone provide a part number? Thanks all!
Simon.
