Whirpool AWM 5104,Light turns on,buzzing noise,nothing else

Hi

First post. Please help. I’ve searched all AWM 5104 topics and none help with my problem. I believe this is a fresh topic. Apologise if not.

History – My machine has run fine for many years with no problems apart from a loud rattle sound every so often during spin cycle (i figure its some money caught in the drum somewhere). Then, with out warning, i turned it on and could not use it.

Symptoms – When turned on the little power light on the front comes on and a buzzing noise sounds continuously. The main problem is it will not run…at all. No setting or button pressing does anything to change this.

Question – What do i need to do/buy to fix this?

Please help, i don’t want to lose this machine.
