Hi Folks. My First post. I have bought a replacement start switch unit from Amazon for this. On Amazon it’s shown as “Bosch 481227618309 Ikea Proline Whirlpool Tumble Dryer Start Reset Switch”

I have fitted the unit but cannot understand the wiring and sadly the wiring guide and instructions are shocking. So any help would be appreciated.

There are only four terminals on the new unit. Two are at the end where the opening of the door triggers a switch and two are at the other end where the start button is. The four wires coming from the main block by the timer are labelled SD V for the green ended ones and SST B for the cream coloured ended ones.

Which wires go to which terminals? Please help anyone.

    Thanks

Just to add. I would have bought this unit from the links here but I am visiting my elderly mum and I ordered the part from Amazon on Boxing day and had it delivered next day. I want to get it fixed before I head home (350 miles away).

Also to add: One green ended wire and one cream ended wire terminate at the left hand edge of the main terminal block. The other two wires terminate over to the right of the block.

I have now sorted this. For any future readers – the two greens go to the start switch and the other two go to the door reset switch on the right end of the unit.

Glad you sorted it but unfortunately we aren’t able to post any wiring diagrams due to forum rules
