Ice has formed at the top of the back wall but the fridge is generally not cold enough. The light works and it is making the usual ‘humming’ type noise. I have turned it off for 24hrs and restarted it but no improvement. Any ideas on what the issue could be please? If so, probably a weak compressor. K. October 7, 2013 at 12:40 pm #402283 JonnyBParticipant Re: Whirpool Built Under Fridge Not Cold Enough Thanks for quick reply. Yes, it is probably 10 years old. If it is the refigerant system, what would you estimate the cost of repair to be?
