Whirpool Built Under Fridge Not Cold Enough

I have a Whirlpool built under fridge, model number ARG-992-K/1/G/R that is not getting cold enough.

Ice has formed at the top of the back wall but the fridge is generally not cold enough.

The light works and it is making the usual ‘humming’ type noise.

I have turned it off for 24hrs and restarted it but no improvement.

Any ideas on what the issue could be please?

Refrigerant system failure by the sounds of it. I’m taking it that it’s a few years old?

If so, probably a weak compressor.

Yes, it is probably 10 years old.

If it is the refigerant system, what would you estimate the cost of repair to be?

Too much on a ten year old unit, you’d be over £100 before you kick a ball.
