Whirpool D/W APDW/1

went to this machine machine starts and almost instantly goes into fault mode with start light flashing

flashing is continuous on and off which from posts indicates ntc fault

fitted nct (well just plugged it in to pcb) no change fault still occurs

am assuming the only other thing it can be is control module anyone know different

Did you clear the programme first? Assuming that the contacts are all nice and squeaky clean, the pcb is all that’s left.

Hiya,
Fault codes for this one is a bit different.
Most errors give a single flash. You have to go into Service mode to get another fault code. Program leds will indicate the fault.

assume you mean

Make sure it’s empty before doing this.
Select the first program, normally rinse.
Switch off. Press and hold the start button and switch back on. Light will start to flash, release button. Press the start button and close the door. Machine will now go through a diagnostic by filling, washing, heating and draining. Any errors will be shown by the start button light flashing a code.

Errors will be shown by the program lights. Should be 4 of them.
There are two versions of this machine, I’ll dig out the info for them tomorrow.
