We have recently found that a ‘white deposit’ is being left on the utensils and stainless steel saucepans at the end of the wash cycle. The deposit is ‘solid’ and cannot be removed with a cloth – this white deposit is gradually building-up on all of our plastic / stainless steel utensils, stainless steel saucepans, stainless steel cutlery. Glassware, cups, dishes etc. do not show any signs of a similar white deposit and appear to be clean at the end of the wash cycle.

We live in a hard-water area and add dishwasher salt, dishwasher tablets and rinse aid in accordance with manufacturers instructions.

Any advice on what can be done to (a) prevent this from happening and (b) if possible to rectify items that have been affected would be most appreciated.

    Chris and Joanne
