White Knight 44aw Not Getting Hot.

Hi All
I have got a White Knight 44aw drier, that I have had for about 4 years, it has been brilliant up until now, except this weekend it has been struggling to dry clothes. When I investigated it only seems to get luke warm instead of hot like normal. The hi / low heat switch seems to operate ok, but makes no difference to the internal heat of the machine. I suspect the element has gone, is it a dual element for the 2 heat settings? I have no issue stripping the machine down, but if it is likely to be the element I would rather buy one first before I strip it down. Finally would you recommend getting a genuine element or would a pattern one be ok?

The 44aw does have a dual element. I have found little difference between the genuine ones or the pattern spare .
