White Knight CL 762 vibration

Hello,
I have a White Knight CL 762 tumble dryer which makes an awful rumbling vibration when it turns. It also used to rattle, especially when it changed direction, but the rattling stopped one day. Now it just rumbles and vibrates. Am I right in thinking that I should replace the back bearing? From the pictures of the replacement bearing, it seems to be very simple.

it isnt a bad job, but from what your describing, it may well be worth checking the fan first

Yes, the fan is split and therefore out of balance. Many thanks!

Hi all,

I havent had time to read the posts lately, but this is the sort of one that i like 😀

When you think if petermaughan hadnt posted on here then he wouldve been wasting his time replacing bearing as well as being out of pocket and the dryer may well of joined the ever increasing whitegoods ‘graveyard’ makes you realise what a fantasic site this is, full of knowledge and advice which is FREE (almost totally unheard of in this day and age!)

Oh and Helo-75 to the rescue (again) :tup:
