Hi,

Could anyone let me know what “Blue Drum Tape” is (in relation to this machine) and what it’s used for. Part no 821313029931. Only I was called to a above TD due to unusual noise. Turned out there was about 4-5 inches of blue tape rubbing on the fan. I removed the bit of tape, gave the appliance a check – all seems ok. Ran it for about 20 minutes while I did another job in the house – all seems ok but I’m just curious and wondering if it will effect the machine.

The tape always used to run around the join of the drum back panel to the drum itself. Presumably to seal the join?

The appliance works ok but when I go back I’ll just give it another check when I’m passing in the next day or 2.
