We have an old White Knight CL412 W Dryer Sensordry dual heat Tumble Dryer, which works intermittently the reset button is being used more often, but even that dosen’t seem to work as well now. I have to turn it off and on flick the setting button bang it shake etc, then the heater will work and dry as normal
which leads me to think it isn’t the element, any ideas before i scrap it.

if your having to push the reset button all the time then you probably got an air flow problem. if there is not enough air flow running over the element it over heats and trips the stat

you need to check the vent hose and make sure that its not blocked and you have a good air flow

has it been making any odd noises ?

No odd noises at all, works great when i can get it working, maybe the wife is overloading it at times i think that could be an issue, might wait for a nice day and strip it down see if anything is blocked

really easy to strip after laying unit on its front. Disconnect wires at top left from stopping the back coming off but take good photos before you do

drop the motor out and check the fan
