went to a Daewoo washer this morning and the customer asked me to then look at the tumble dryer. I didn’t have time to strip it down but he showed me what’s happening. It starts up and runs OK for a few minutes then stops to reverse. When it tries to start in the opposite direction the drum doesn’t turn and it makes a loud buzzing noise like you get when the capacitor has failed. I would have thought if it was the starter capacitor it would not start in either direction. Any thoughts?

Sounds like it could be a faulty reversing switch in the timer
