    Replaced the fan on this machine yesterday. Today the customer phones up to say that the machine turns itself off after about a minute. I did observe this myself when testing it after the the fan change, but assumed that it was turning itself off because there were no damp clothes in it and it was sensing that it was dry. I’m going back tomorrow. Anybody got any ideas as to where I should start looking ❓

    Brush sensor fallen out and disappeared…………. more likely.

    Never to be seen again….. Think the old Philco box motor brush fits it.

    Thanks for all the replies guys. Yes it was the carbon brush that had fallen out. However, I managed to retrieve the little sod by turning the machine upside down. 😀
