    I have a CL847 tumble drier that was generating a nasty squeak and I put this down to a worn belt which I have replaced. Other than the noise the drier was working fine.

    Since I changed the belt, the drier switches on and turns for 45 seconds before pausing but then fails to continue.

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but if the thermal cut-out had tripped (I have made sure I pushed the red button) then the drier would not turn at all.

    Could you provide me with any ideas of what the problem could be and how I can verify it. I don’t want to be shelling out for parts only to find the problem still exists.
