Anybody else getting dodgy pattern white knight tumble dryer elements? The usual big one, CL427 etc. Just opened 2 of Masterparts PS3402 and they are both very low insulation. Used an ele3558 from Connect last month, and it lasted about 5 minutes before it too went down to earth. Phoned Masterpart and they are going to check their remaining stock. Please don’t preach to me (Martin) about the merits of buying pattern spares, as I have never had a problem with these before. The genuine at £33.44 + vat from Connect kind of prices the job out of reach.

the pattern ones normally rub on the back of the drum when they are fitted.

Had a couple of these element that were down to earth a couple of years ago so I ran them with no earth connected in my work shop for 5 mins and they were fine after that.
