had this loads on under gtd machines for white knite technical were no help at all .most i came across were up aginst an external wall and condensation was forming in panel to such an extent it would get on fan and splash onto heater.if it the model without collection bottle whereby collect water in a bowl etc if they dont empty straight away the water can suck back and overflow into back panel seen this happen with my own eyes

if you remove the heater and complete back panel, you will see the path which the water takes from the condenser into the sump where the pump is.there will be a piece of soggy fluff trapped in the lowest part of the water channel. this allows water to build up and flow over the blocked drain and into the fan housing. as said before, if you’ve stripped it this far you might as well take out the drum and clean the whole thing.
oh i forgot to mention thet the offending fluff will be found if you remove the section which is held in place by two silver slide clips.June 19, 2007 at 11:14 pm #217100hilly
