Ive just bought a brand new Tumble dryer, read the instructions and started it up, theres a strange noise that sounds like card board stuck inside, are tumble dryers like washing machines when you need to remove the bolts from the rear to release the drum?? i dare not undo anythin till im sure?

    Re: White Knight Tumble dryer

    Hi sw1tchs
No…tumble dryers do not have any transit packing so I would recommend NOT using the appliance until it’s checked out. There may indeed be something inside that shouldn’t be there, or something inside has moved/come adrift during transport.
Either way it needs checking out before any posible damage is caused.
Being new this will be covered by any guarantee so give the manufacturer a call. If you bought the appliance from a small outlet (not one of the ‘high street’ chain stores) then it may be worth giving them a quick call first – they generally offer a higher level of service and as the fault doesn’t sound too serious they may just pop out and sort it for you.

There is no internal transit packing in a White Knight tumble dryer – therefore you DO have a problem. Ring for Service at the first opportunity.
